Known as quantumsummers in the Gentoo community, Matthew Summers has released a new package development repository initially focusing on the distributed task queue named celery, and some of its dependencies not available in the current Portage tree. The goal of this initial round of development is: 

  1. Inclusion in the official Gentoo Portage tree.
  2. Continued development of the software ecosystem around celery itself (i.e. supports django, pylons, flask, and others via webhooks)
  3. Experimentation, benchmarking, stability analysis, and other fun.
